Hi Dave, I enjoyed your post - I've also been thinking alot about this need to aggregate and 'get smart' in my everyday social media life. My tool use graph looks alarmingly similar to yours!

On this note, I've recently discovered FriendFeed, a start up lifestream aggregator from a bunch of ex-Googlers. I've reviewed the service here - http://jonathanmulholland.com/2007/10/21/friendfeedcom-beta-review-a-more-useful-mini-feed-in-or-out-of-facebook/ after only a few days I feel it has alot of potential for aggregating my content, and that I want to follow. I encourage you to check it out - I have beta invites to share if you're interested.

If you haven't yet tried it, do have a look at Flock, the so called Social Browser.

Aggregating is what it's all about. Even w/o Twitku, you're doing it with you Twitter Fb app. In the coming months, I predict we will see more and more services designed to aggregate what I call our "ambient information".

Dave, a regular "referer" I'm seeing (from the stats page) to our collective blog is Net Vibes:

http://www.netvibes.com/

Although I haven't played around with it myself, one of my co-bloggers has. He's been urging me to give it a whirl. Regarding the social media applications/tools/channels you are using, my PRC colleague thinks that roughly 60 to 70 per cent should be covered off by Net Vibes. Of course this is dependent upon how intense and frequent is your use of all of your applications and social networks.

Anyhow, you might want to give Netvibes a try; you'll probably know within 10 minutes or so whether it will be of use.

Cheers,
Judy
