Thanks so much for a such a thorough review. I really appreciate your honesty too.

An issue we’ve definitely found is users’ tendency to give positive reviews more often than negative reviews. Not sure if you saw my post on “True Transparency” (http://davidspinks.com/2009/06/18/truetransparency/) but it definitely seems to be an issue in the blogging community in general.

Another reasoning I found for this on our site is that when you first join Scribnia, the first thing you’re going to do after you add yourself to be rated if you’re an author, is review the authors that you read on a regular basis. Chances are, you read these authors on a regular basis, because you like them…so all of your first reviews should actually be generally positive. Makes sense.

Then, once you start discovering new authors, you’ll check some out that you just don’t like…that’s where people will start writing some more negative reviews.
